It's been nearly 10 years since ISO 9001 was last updated and there have been a lot of changes over that decade. Given all that's changed, is the standard still pertinent to today's businesses? How do we ensure it remains relevant? The technical community has heard these concerns and is in the process of updating ISO 9001. We'll take a deep dive into the review process to explore how ISO 9001 remains applicable. We'll examine how the standard is reviewed and how new technologies such as AI and climate change are considered. We'll answer the pressing question of why ISO 9001 is still on the 2015 revision and conclude by exploring the revision history and what to expect next.
